5-Axis Precision
Digital Manufacturing 40-80 Hours structured time

CAD/CAM Digital Manufacturing

From geometry to verified toolpaths. Geometry preparation, toolpath strategy, cutting parameters, simulation and post-processing for production machining.

Overview

The digital thread from model to cut. Learners prepare geometry, build machining strategies, simulate, post-process and hand over programs that cut correctly the first time. The 40-hour track covers 3-axis work; the 80-hour track adds multi-axis and advanced strategies.

Who should attend

Mechanical designers, programmers and engineers digitising their machining workflow.

Fees and cohort dates are confirmed by the admissions team. Use the apply form and we will send current details within two working days.

Curriculum

How the programme is structured.

Geometry and strategy

Good toolpaths start with good inputs.

  • Machinable geometry preparation 50 min
  • Toolpath strategies and parameters 50 min

Verification and output

Sending safe, correct programs to the floor.

  • Simulation, holders and collision checking 45 min
  • Post-processing and data handover 40 min

Lessons are delivered in the workshop and through the learner portal. The listed structure is indicative and may be sequenced differently per cohort.
